About Us
Bringing people together through good ol' fashioned work.
We've heard some rumors that our country is supposedly "divided." And by some metrics, we are. But when we look at the things Americans value -- the safety of our communities, the health of our loved ones, the stewardship of our beloved public lands, and a thousand other treasured ideas -- we at Volunteer Visionaries see that Americans have more in common than ever.
So how do we reconnect people over a perceived divide? By making memories and friends as we share the labor of caring for our values.

We Steward Democracy
Through our work, we help every volunteer to become a good steward of our democracy (okay, it's a Republic if you want to be particular about it, but you know what we mean). We do this in three ways:

1. Stewarding Democracy in Our Community
Democracy manifests in our community through physical assets, like quality hospitals, public parks and forests, churches of many different faiths, public schools, libraries, and much more. Through volunteerism, we steward these assets together.

2. Stewarding Democracy in Our Relationships
Democracy cannot be achieved alone. It's something we build together. By working side by side, we help people to see for themselves that collaboration is not just possible, it's effective.

3. Stewarding Democracy in Ourselves
If you don't believe you can affect change, then you don't believe in democracy. When you serve your community, you get to see firsthand that it is possible to care about an issue, take action, and solve it. We help people rediscover their own agency to do good.
